What does your family think of your personal style?
They think I’m weird haha. They’re used to me going on about clothes and shoes and such. So much so that now they’re starting to tease me for my materialistic ways haha. There are times when an outfit is too weird for their tastes but it’s very rare for them to say ‘I don’t wanna be seen with you if you wear that.’ Although my mom says things like that more often than my sisters, I think it’s just because she’s more conservative about clothes and where/when is it appropriate to dress up.
In general they’re alright with my style because it’s simple, nothing too extreme, and my sisters love anything that can be related to disney, superheroes, scifi, and fantasy so my stranger purchases have to be justified by those reasons haha (tronpursethatcostnearlytwohundreddollarsbuttotallyworthitbecaueitsanofficaldisneyproducthellyeah)
My mom may have an issue with the length of some of my skirts and dresses but mostly she says things like ‘you never used to want to show your legs and now you show them off all the time! what’s wrong with you?!’ or ‘don’t wear too high heels with that, it won’t look right, people will think you’re not a good girl’ etc.
My dad doesn’t care at all what I wear lol. He just has the usual ‘your shoes are so tall’ comments here and there :)
